One of, if not the, most important decisions I’ve made in the past 2 years is to start meditating regularly. It’s taken my health fitness to the next level – mentally, emotionally, and even physically. I’m grateful for all that progress and grateful for all the progress I’ll continue to make. It’s been a ‘keystone habit’ for me.
There is so much value in pausing and slowing down to the enjoy the view along the way. Easy to get caught up doing and doing and to miss the simple wonders of life.
I believe we are connected to a higher purpose. The more connected we feel the more alive we are. The more we get done. The more we give other and the more the universe gives us back in return.
A lot of pain and suffering, nearly all of it, isn’t important — meaning it’s manufactured. The ‘mind’ trying to keep us safe — still running on software thousands of years old and outdated.
The ‘little mind’ — the voice that magnifies the faults in others. The voice that says we’re not worthy. The ‘little mind’ at work. There to rob you of your joy if you let it.
I like to battle the ‘little mind.’ It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to defeat it more consistently. The ‘little mind’ is a worthy adversary. It doesn’t give up and still gets its’ fair share of victories. I can smile about it and handle it with grace. My progress is undeniable.
